Summer Camp is Full of Exploring

Summer camp is in full swing at Hall Neighborhood House! We love learning, creating, and adventuring with our awesome students—and it’s been so special to see students expanding their horizons through activities like art, STEM, rock climbing, and more!

Huge thanks to the Wolff Family Fund for helping make this year’s summer camp happen!

Toddlers Enjoy Pony Rides and a Petting Zoo

Children in our childcare program got a fun surprise when farm animals came to visit Hall Neighborhood House! Farm to Heart, Inc. brought a petting zoo and pony rides, and we loved how curious and excited everyone was to interact with the animals!

Construction Begins on our New Behavioral Health Office

Here at Hall Neighborhood House, we are committed to holistic health for our neighbors—and we make physical, dental, and behavioral health services available through our on-site health clinic. This month, with the support of the Southwestern CT Agency on Aging, we began construction on our new behavioral health office, which will allow us to offer more one-on-one sessions for seniors in a private space.

Rep. Jim Himes Visits Hall Neighborhood House

Earlier this month, we welcomed Rep. Jim Himes to the Alan Wallack STEM Learning Center! It was an honor to showcase our state-of-the-art STEM classroom and share our vision of expanding this innovative model to every Bridgeport Public School, serving 19,000 students!

Currently, we have opened 12 Alan Wallack STEM Learning Center classrooms across Bridgeport, with 10 more set to open this month! We also plan to open 8 more centers in 2025, for a total of 30 elementary schools. This significant initiative is made possible through the generous support of local philanthropists dedicated to improving the opportunities for Bridgeport children. We thank them for trusting Hall to lead this initiative.
